Spring is in the air and the sun is shining. Another month has flown by and the time has come to be updated from the desk of Travel With Kidz.
TWK has been working hard on your behalf sourcing new and unique family holidays and experiences. We offer value for money by taking out the unknown factors when travelling with children from 0 -18 years. A growing trend is emerging in family travel 'multi-generational' travel. What is it?
This is when grandchildren travel with their grandparents. Often Mum and Dad join the trip and sometimes even Aunties & Uncles join the group. To cater for all these different needs takes a lot of experience. Over the past 14 years TWK has a built a global network of partners who source new and amazing product worldwide, catering for multi-generational travel.
Having become a Nanna to Emily Grace in April this year, I am pleased to report I have now personally experienced 'multi-generational' travel.
Our family spent last weekend at Hyatt Coolum Resort, located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We were joined by our two children Jess and Tim, with their partners, the gorgeous Emily (now 4.5 months) and my husband. Wow – what an experience. I woke to Emily smiling at me in bed, had breakfast with our gorgeous children and partners and witnessed Emily’s first swim. In the afternoon my husband and son played golf, the girls went to the day spa and Nanna baby sat Emily for her afternoon sleep. It was the most amazing experience a family could have together. Why?
When you are parents you worry about your children’s health, welfare, education, safety, (just about everything in life). You try your best to bring your children up to be wonderful loving, well mannered kids and finally they have kids. Then along comes 'multi-generational travel', giving Nanna and Poppie the opportunity to sit back, relax and appreciate the years of love and work that went into raising a family. It was the most rewarding and enjoyable weekend ever!
The Hyatt Coolum Resort is one of the most relaxed and wonderful family resorts in Australia, catering for all ages on our multi-generational holiday. Ducks wandering around our 2 bedroom Villa, stunning day spa, variety of Restaurants, beautiful bush setting for bike riding, white sand beach, licensed kids club for busy children, stunning 18 hole golf course — to name a few highlights for multi–generational family travel.
So… till next month, I invite you to email wendy@travelwithkidz.com.au to share your family holiday stories, or ask the experts questions on family travel.
